Kuro - A time for new beginnings 
 
This piece is inspired by what the Maori's refer to as a Kuro- the tightly curled spiral shape of a fern before it unfurls its leaves. In Maori tradition the spiral shape represents new beginnings conveying with it the concepts of new life, growth, strength and peace.
